

Dr. Lisa attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston (McGovern Medical School). After graduation, she completed two years of pathology residency training with Houston Methodist before deciding to follow her passion in women’s health. She then transferred into the OBGYN residency program also at Houston Methodist. While at Methodist, she trained with NaProTechnology surgeon, Dr. Stephen Hilgers.
While in residency, her passion for functional medicine grew as she used functional medicine techniques to treat her own diagnosis of PCOS. Upon graduating from OBGYN residency, she continued to pursue medical education with the Institute for Functional Medicine as well as the Kalish Institute. She also became certified as a FEMM (Fertility Education and Medical Management) medical consultant. FEMM practitioners diagnose and treat the underlying cause of gynecologic and fertility problems using evidence-based protocols and algorithms.
Dr. Lisa specializes in Functional Medicine which helps find the root cause of health and wellness issues. She is a Certified Practitioner with Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM CP). She resides in The Woodlands, Texas area with her husband. She is a faithful Catholic and likes to spend her free time with family, friends and being outdoors. Dr. Lisa now brings her expert knowledge and skills to Texans through her online telemedicine practice here at LisaMD.
